The beach and outdoors
Two kilometres of promenade, about 300 moorings, and a southern edge being rewritten at once.
Updated
The waterfront is the reason the district exists in the shape it does. Two kilometres of promenade run from Reading in the south to Tel Baruch in the north, with about 300 marina moorings planned at the northern end and beach cafés along the Central frontage.
The southern edge is the most complicated stretch in the plan: Reading power station, the fuel tanks, the marina basin and the park are all being rewritten at the same time. That is worth knowing before assuming any particular view or access route is settled.
