Guides
Short answers to the questions the inventory pages do not cover.
Updated
The category pages answer where something will be. The lot pages answer what a specific piece of ground permits. These guides answer the questions that sit between the two: how the district's numbering works, what has to happen before a unit can trade, who holds the ground floor, and how a correction gets made.
They are grouped by what you are here to do. Visiting is about a district that is still a construction site with a public beach along its edge. Living here includes the path from comparing an apartment on Shavnu to understanding the schools, streets and services around it. Working here is about the commercial ground floors, the employment lots, and the sequence from an approach to a licence.

Common questions
- What is the difference between a guide and a blog post here?
- A guide answers a procedural question and is kept current: how lot numbering works, what opens when, how to take a unit. A blog post is a longer piece of writing about the place itself, published once and corrected rather than maintained.
- Can I open a business in Sde Dov now?
- You cannot trade, because nothing is built. You can make an approach: the lots are identified, their use classes are fixed by plan TA/4444, and the developer of each lot is known. The guide to opening a business sets out the sequence and the documents to ask for.
- How do I read a Sde Dov lot number?
- A lot number alone is not an address. It needs its registry block with it, because the same lot number recurs across blocks — lot 2103 in block 6885 and lot 2103 in block 6896 are different ground. The lot-numbering guide explains the layers and why they do not line up.
- Are these guides official?
- No. They are source-based and are not affiliated with the government or any developer. SdeDov.city and SdeDovLife.co.il are language editions of one publication, and Shavnu is a same-owner sister publication, so they are not independent confirmations of one another. Where something is uncertain, the guides say so.
